Swansea kept up their promotion push after easing to victory over Preston.
Paulo Sousa's home side controlled this affair from start to finish but had to wait until ten minutes before half time to break the deadlock when Cardiff-born David Cotterill sent a sweet, curling free-kick into the top corner.
